Itinerary
South Queensferry Village
A 30 min drive beyond Edinburgh. We will stop here to view the 3 bridges spanning the Forth River, built between 1890 and 2017.
Falkland Palace
Less than an hour away is Falkland palace and gardens. King James IV commissioned it and King James V added a tennis court, which is now one of the oldest surviving tennis courts in the world. Mary Queen of Scots loved the palace and was a frequent resident. The Castle itself is full of antique and ancient works of art and furnishings of that period. Falkland village was used by the hit TV series Outlander, as 1940's Inverness for Frank and Claire’s honeymoon trip.
St Andrews
Famous for its Golf course, University, Cathedral and medieval town.
