Luss on Loch Lomond
Our first stop is the beautiful village of Luss, nestled on the banks of Loch Lomond. You will have 30 mins to explore this wonderful quaint heritage village, which has been voted as ‘the most beautiful village in Scotland’.
Rest and Be Thankful
The ‘Rest and be Thankful' mountain viewpoint is in stark contrast to the loch views you will have enjoyed in this tour so far. It provides stunning views of the valley, and of the old military road below built by the King's troops in the backdrop of the Jacobite Risings. 10 minute stop to take photos of the fantastic scenery.
Inveraray Castle
The iconic Inveraray Castle is home and residence to the Clan Chiefs of Clan Campbell, also known as the 'Duke & Duchess of Argyle'. The grounds are open to the public, but there is a charge to enter the castle or the garden. If you don’t want to visit inside the castle, you can still freely explore the grounds, cafe and shop downstairs. 1 hour stop.
Kilchurn Castle
Our next stop is Kilchurn castle in Loch Awe, a great stop for photos. It was a formidable fortress in its time, surrounded on three sides by water. 10 minute photo stop.
Falls of Falloch
Our final stop before returning to the ship are the Falls of Falloch. A beautiful water fall over a natural water pool enjoyed by locals in the hot summer days. 15 minute stop.
Drovers Inn
Dating back from 1705, the Drovers Inn is one of the oldest pubs in Scotland. Enjoy some traditional Scottish food, or just a pint or a coffee at this iconic pub full of atmosphere. It is also said to be one of Scotland's most haunted pubs!
