Doune Castle
Approximately a 30 min drive is Doune Castle. You may recognise it as Winterfell in the Game of Thrones pilot. It was also featured in the hit TV series Outlander and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Kilmahog
Kilmahog is a short distance away, where we will be stopping at the Woolen Mill. It is a great place to grab a coffee and feed our famous ‘Highland Cows’.
Loch Tulla
Heading through the Trossachs, our next stop is Loch Tulla viewpoint for photos.
Rannoch Moor
The largest bog expanse in the UK, and one of its most desolate places. Rannoch Moor was featured in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1, when the death eaters stopped the Hogwarts express to board the train.
Glencoe
Several stops for photos along the Glencoe mountain range, including the stunning waterfall (The meeting of three waters) and the iconic ‘3 Sisters’, the most photographed place in Scotland
Castle Stalker
Featured in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Lunch
The family run restaurant, Creagan Inn, Appin is our suggested lunch stop., though there are other options later in the tour.
St Conan's Kirk
A hidden and little known gem of the Highlands was voted by Architects as a top ten building in Scotland, and has a crypt with a bone fragment from Robert the Bruce - the first King of Scotland
Kilchurn castle
A cracking great for photos, it was built by the militaristic Campbells of Glen Orchy, a formidable fortress in its time, surrounded on three sides by water.
Real Food Cafe
Heading into Tyndrum, if lunch was earlier skipped, we can recommend the award winning Real Food cafe, serving the best 'Fish n Chips' in the Highlands, Gluten free and Halal options available.
