Itinerary

Approximately a 30 min drive is Doune Castle. You may recognise it as Winterfell in the Game of Thrones pilot. It was also featured in the hit TV series Outlander and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Kilmahog is a short distance away, where we will be stopping at the Woolen Mill. It is a great place to grab a coffee and feed our famous ‘Highland Cows’.

Heading through the Trossachs, our next stop is Loch Tulla viewpoint for photos.

We will drive through Rannoch Moor, the largest bog expanse in the UK, and one of its most desolate places. Rannoch Moor was featured in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1, when the death eaters stopped the Hogwarts express to board the train.

Several stops for photos along the Glencoe mountain range, including the stunning waterfall (The meeting of three waters) and the iconic ‘3 Sisters’, the most photographed place in Scotland

Castle Stalker is next, also featured in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

The family run restaurant, Creagan Inn, Appin is our suggested lunch stop.

St Conan's Kirk is a great attraction, this hidden, and little known, gem of the Highlands was voted by Architects as a top ten building in Scotland, and it has a crypt with a bone fragment from Robert the Bruce - the first King of Scotland

Our next attraction is Kilchurn castle in Loch Awe, a great stop for photos. It was a formidable fortress in its time, surrounded on three sides by water.

Heading into Tyndrum we will stop at the Green Welly stop for coffee/ bathroom facilities before returning to Stirling.
