Itinerary

Day 1

Pickup from your accommodation at 08:30am

Bankfoot

We'll start our tour the best possible way - with the opportunity to hand-feed Highland Coos!

Commando Memorial

Next we will take you to the Commando Memorial in Spean Bridge. This is a beautiful monument and viewpoint of the Nevis mountain range.

Fort Augustus, Loch Ness

We will then visit Fort Augustus on the banks of Loch Ness. A great option for you here is the 1hr cruise of Loch Ness. There are also many different places for lunch or you can take a stroll along the Caledonian Canal locks.

Glenfinnan Viaduct

An hour's drive takes us to the Glenfinnan Viaduct, made famous by the Harry Potter films. A short hike will take you to a viewing point where you can see the Jacobite steam engine (aka Hogwarts Express) cross the viaduct at set times during the day.

Drop Off

We will finish the day at Fort William, where we will drop you off at your accommodation.

Day 2

9:00am start

3 Sisters of Glencoe

The most photographed place in Scotland, the 3 Sisters of in Glencoe, is our first stop of the day. This is a stunning viewpoint in the Glencoe valley full of natural beauty and historical poignancy, as it was the site of the MacDonald Massacre of 1692 during the Jacobite Uprisings.

Castle Stalker

You will then have the opportunity to see Castle Stalker. You may recognise it as the 'Castle of Aaargh' - the last castle visited in the famous Monty Python and the Holy Grail movie.

Fairy Bridge

Next, is the magical 'Fairy Bridge' in Appin, built in 1836. A short hike through the Argyll forest will take us to this magical spot.

Oban

The enchanting town of Oban, also known as the ‘seafood capital of Scotland’, is next on our journey and a good place for lunch.

St Conan's Kirk

We will then take you to visit St Conan's Kirk. This hidden, and little known, gem of the Scottish Highlands was voted by architects as one of the top ten buildings in Scotland due to its unique architecture. It has a crypt with a bone fragment from Robert the Bruce - the first King of Scotland. It's a most quirky building, alike to a medieval film set.

Kilchurn Castle, Loch Awe

Onwards, we will stop at the Kilchurn Castle viewpoint in Loch Awe, which is a great stop for photos. Now in ruins, this 15th century castle was a formidable fortress in its time, surrounded on three sides by water.

Inverary Castle, Loch Fyne

Next is the iconic Inveraray Castle, home and residence to the Clan Chiefs of Clan Campbell, also known as the 'Duke & Duchess of Argyle'. The grounds are open to the public, but there is a charge to enter the castle or the gardens. If you don’t want to visit inside the castle, you can still freely explore the grounds, cafe and shop downstairs.

Luss

The beautiful village of Luss, nestled on the banks of Loch Lomond in the boundary to the Highlands, is the final attraction of the tour. It has been voted as ‘the most beautiful village in Scotland’.

Drop Off

We will then drop you off back at your accommodation in the Edinburgh, Glasgow or Stirling area.
